Large dark red flowers  up to 5.5″ across appear singly or occasionally in clusters of up to four on long strong stems.  The many petals have a heavy substance and the flowers do well in heat and as well as in the vase. Hardy to USDA zone 6, the largest flowers appear in cool climates.  The vigorous plants carry large, matte, gray-green leaves  that are resistant to mildew but not to blackspot especially in damp climates.  The rose honors the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
